Regional Sales Manager (RSM)
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this position will serve as a mentor to our Branch-based Outside Sales Reps to enhace product sales and customer service. The "RSM" will also monitor outside sales activities and analye sales rep performance. The RAM will interface with builders, designers or mass merchant accounts, depending on his or her focus. In addition, the RSM may from time to time visit General Contractors and all other decision makers in the sales and installation process to ensure accounts received the best sales and service possible. This key role will drive sales volume and strive to deepen existing account penetration in current accounts, and develop new clientele and sales channel opportunities throughout assign sales territories. At all times, our RSMs identify, cultivate and leverage our client relationships through providing the highest level of customer service support and collaborative selling strategies.
This positon may be based in any one of a number of California Emser Branch locations, as travel will be a routine part of the job. (Please note that the location reference of "Los Angeles" is required for the job board posting only.)

- Be able to work independently while simultaneously implementing company defined sales strategies
- Be an expert in influential / collaborative sales and negotiation techniques, including analytical skills that can identify and exploit key opportunities
- Enjoy prospecting for new accounts, setting up / maintaining displays and introducing our quality products to the marketplace
- Be driven to meet sales goals and enjoy the upside of variable compensation programs that also reward employees for exceeding plan
- Instinctively address all customer questions and concerns promptly with business savvy solution / resolution strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications:
- Successful track record in an outsides sales environment (preferably within the flooring industry)
- Solid analytical skills in identifying client needs and aligning them to product offerings; Specification analysis and RFP response preparation a plus
- College B.A. / B.S. degree preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in the principles of collaborative sales technique
- Ability to travel frequently throughout the sales territory
